Career Coaching
Whether you are about to embark on your career, you are facing a career change, or you just feel like your career is stuck, then a career coaching course can be beneficial for you.
A career coaching course can help you clarify “here and now” challenges, or it can be a long-term course where you can use your coach for follow-up and help with the challenges you encounter along the way.
I have a holistic approach to career coaching. This means, that when we work on your career goals, it is important that all aspects of your life are considered.
Once you have been through a career coaching course, you will find that you feel you are clarified in relation to what it is you need and what direction to choose. You will feel confident in your choices, and you will know which career wishes are realistic – both in relation to your professional competencies and in your wishes for your private life.
A career coaching course can include the following topics:
- Your current situation, and where you see yourself in 1, 5 and 10 years – or maybe even further into the future.
We will look at what kind of challenges you face right here and now. - Uncover what is most important to you in your career choice.
For example, whether you are looking for stability, have a desire for more challenges in your work, or other things that are important to you.
Between us, we will find out what is most important to you. - Your personality type or personality profile.
We set up a personality type that gives you a valuable insight into your own personality. Knowing oneself is a very important prerequisite for achieving one’s career goals. - Help setting up the options you have.
We work with the goals you have for your career, and together we assess whether they are realistic. Perhaps you have several different goals we need to work through. - A plan on how to reach your goals.
Once we’ve figured out what’s important to you, and what your goals are, we look at how goals and values fit together. That way, you get clarity on what you career goal should be and we can start laying out a plan. - Setting up sub-goals.
Your career goal may be far in the future, so it may be necessary to set some sub-goals along the way.
it may also be that your career goal requires educational efforts. We seek to uncover this, as well as other sub-goals you may have. - Mapping of your professional and personal competencies.
In order to reach your personal career goal, it is important that you know yourself. When you know yourself, you will find that you act much more appropriately in your job, as well as in your relationships, and in other situations. - A career plan that consider all the wishes you have for your future so that there is room for a possible family, hobbies, etc.
- How to overcome challenges along the way.
It is not unlikely that you will face challenges along the way, and as your coach I will be able to help you along. Perhaps you need help with an important job interview, or an employee interview. - Changes in personal circumstances during your career (marriage/divorce, children/family, illness) makes it necessary to correct the plan or set new goals.
You can choose a course where we discuss the topics that concerns you the most, and thus get your career back on track. You can also choose one of the structured courses, where you will be guided through a series of exercises and disciplines that give you a good starting point for kick-starting your career.
I offer the following courses:
The basic course: is for you who need to get a basic career plan laid out in order to get you on with your career.
The professional course: is for you who want a good self-insight and a career plan that consider several aspects of your life. In addition, you are interested in getting a follow-up on the plan and being held up to your sub-goals.
The VIP course: is for you who really want something with your career. You have big goals and need to know yourself, your strengths, and weakness. You also have a desire to get ongoing sparring on your progress and the issues you face in your career.
BASIC COURSE
✓ Preliminary interview – 1 hour
Here we will talk about your current situation and your wishes for your future career as well as uncovering your career goals and personal goals.
✓ Determination of personality type – ½ hour
You will gain valuable insight once you know your personality type. The completion of the analysis will be used as a starting point for a coaching interview, where we focus on whether your personality profile is in line with your career goals.
✓ Value clarification – 1 hour
What values are important to you? We will find what you are values.
✓ Career plan – 1 hour
We draw up a career plan based on your goals, your profile, and your values.
PROFESSIONAL COURSE
✓ Preliminary interview – 1 hour
Here we will talk about your current situation and your wishes for your future career. Uncovering career goals and personal goals.
✓ Determination of personality type – 1 hour
You will gain valuable insight once you know your personality type. The completion of the analysis will be used as a starting point for a coaching interview, where we focus on whether your personality profile is in line with your career goals.
✓ Value clarification – 1 hour
What values are important to you? We will find what you are values.
✓ Career plan – 1 hour
We draw up a career plan based on your goals, your profile, and your values.
In the career plan, we include all factors in your life that will affect your career. Including education, family, leisure, etc.
✓ Follow-up coaching interviews – 1 hour
Once the career plan is laid put, there will be the opportunity for 2 follow-up coaching interviews of one hour duration per interview.
VIP COURSE
✓ Preliminary interview – 1 hour
Here we will talk about your current situation and your wishes for your future career. Uncovering career goals and personal goals.
✓ Determination of personality type – 1 hour
You will gain valuable insight once you know your personality type. The completion of the analysis will be used as a starting point for a coaching interview, where we focus on whether your personality profile is in line with your career goals.
✓ Competence clarification – 1 hour
You will discover your core competencies and also which of your competencies you like best to use. That way, you get clear directions for choosing the career path that suits you best.
✓ Value clarification – 1 hour
What values are important to you? We will find what you are values.
✓ Career plan – 1 hour
We draw up a career plan based on your goals, your profile, and your values.
In the career plan, we include all factors in your life that will affect your career. Including education, family, leisure, etc.
✓ Follow-up coaching interviews – 2 hour
Once the career plan is laid put, there will be the opportunity for 2 follow-up coaching interviews of one hour duration per interview.
✓ Ongoing coaching interviews – 1 hour
During the course, several 1:1 coaching sessions will be included. Through these conversations, you will gain greater certainty in your choice. There will also be an opportunity to address current issues that you may encounter along the way.
